Extreme Measures is a student-directed 18-member a cappella group hailing from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.

The diverse members of EM represent majors spanning from Theatre to Economics to Psychology. Our musical arrangements range from Top 40 to Rock to 90s Throwbacks (check out the "Music" page for our full rep). We take pride in producing our own fall and spring shows as well as performing at many NU events on campus such as Dance Marathon, various fraternity and sorority philanthropies, and Parents' Weekend.

We also feel privileged to be frequently sought-after for gigs in and around the Chicago area. Extreme Measures has had the opportunity in its short history to travel across the Midwest to sing with other collegiate a cappella groups. In addition, we have proudly represented Northwestern at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCAs). Aside from competing, we are excited beyond belief for our first studio album, "Extremities", which was released this past September!

The only thing stronger than our love of music is our love for each other. Along with dabbling in the musical arts, EM enjoys late night beach outings, adventures on the Megabus, and singing in the dark.
